This event is now called the Summer Sundae Weekender (it was just 'Summer Sundae' before) and has music, comedy, kids activities, workshops, and much more.
It's held in Leicester, at De Montford Hall, using both the indoor Hall stage, and the gardens for the Main Stage, the Musician Stage, the Rising Stage, and the Bathysphere Stage home to poetry by day, and by night eclectic electronica.
Starting in 2001 as a one day event, it grew to two days in 2002, and three days in 2003. It's been a three day festival ever since, although there is now a Fringe to the festival held on Thursday nigh, with buses running from the campsite to the various venues.
Full camping facilities are available. The festival also offers high calibre comedy in the eFestivals Comedy Tent.
