A small crowd lines up in front of the main stage, and consists of two
particular groups. The first are the die-hard fans who know their La Peste's
from their Outlaws, and then there are the others who heard "Woke Up This
Morning" on The Sopranos.
The band turn late on stage and seem to have to cut back their performance
slightly, but they make a bold, but ultimately wrong decision to open the
set with new single "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash" and "Woke Up This Morning".
Both songs are pretty much their best work, and many leave straight after
Woke Up This Morning.
Rev. Larry Love tries to get some excitement out of the small crowd, but
ultimately struggles. The music is great, "U Don't Danse to Tekno Anymore"
is one of the best songs of the day, but their unique brand of acid-house
country fails to take the festival by storm.
