Trowbridge Festival has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:
"Having considered all of the factors surrounding the festival we have reached the decision that the current climate is not one in which we can provide you the festival you deserve.

With regret, The Trowbridge Festival is cancelled for 2012.

We are determined that the festival will continue, and so we are moving our plans forward to next year.

====================
A family friendly and grown-up friendly festival with late night fun running hand in hand with roots music. Trowbridge Festival offers a weekend to relax with friends and family, taking place from Thursday 2nd until Sunday 5th August 2012 at the rural location of Vagg's Hill Farm, near Trowbridge, in Wiltshire.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are Peatbog Faeries, Monster Ceilidh Band, Rory McLeod, Sheelanagig, RSVP, Robin Williamson, Rhythmites, Urusen, and Sam Brookes, with more acts expected to be confirmed soon.

Tickets

An adult (aged 16+) weekend ticket is priced at £95 for a weekend ticket. Tickets for 11-15 years olds and students (a valid student ID card is required when collecting your armband) are half price. Children aged 10 or under are free but must be accompanied by a ticket buying adult. There's also a group booking saver where if buying 10 adult tickets one of them is free.

On site

The West Country festival will offer local food, beers and ciders, local acts from the South West, local arts and local traditions, as well as a multitude of acts from the rest of the country and indeed the rest of the world. There will also be lots of activities & entertainment for children and young people, good food and markets, dancing, open mics, sessions, dressing up, choir, art, workshops, and much more.

Camping

The ticket price includes camping.

Trowbridge connection

The new Trowbridge Festival is organised by people who have worked - and played - at many festivals over the years, including the well known festival near Trowbridge at Stowford Manor Farm. The new spacious site is just up the road from the old one at Stowford Manor with fabulous views and lovely trees.

There'll be more information here when available.
