WIN a pair of weekend tickets for Truck 2009winners detailsTuesday 14th July 2009courtesy of Truck A pair of weekend tickets for Truck 2009 There's a pair of tickets up for grabs - just answer the simple question below!
This is your chance to win tickets for TRUCK FESTIVAL. TRUCK started 12 years ago as a birthday party and few bands in a field. Now 12 years later you are all invited. One of the last bastions of independent and DIY music. It all happens at Hill Farm, near Oxford, on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July. So to win a pair of weekend tickets to the UK's smallest-yet-coolest independent festival eep reading and answer the question below. As well as stellar line up of over 100+ bands (keep reading for that) TRUCK is all about showcasing new music, whilst sheltering you from the horrid (real) world outside. So there'll be no sponsorship, or corporate agenda – just you and 4,000 other people there to enjoy one thing - the music. TRUCK is a strange and beautiful mixture of Village fete and Woodstock. The ice creams are sold by the friendly local vicar (hello Colin!), burgers come courtesy of the local rotary club, and the bar staff are all cross dressers - oh, and all the profits from the food and drink sales goes straight to charity! It's a place were you feel more like a guest than a customer. So, about that line up. TRUCK 12 see's Ash and Supergrass headlining the main stage, and then another 100 acts across 5 stages – they include Broken Records, Wild Beasts, Yacht, Wintersleep, Red Light Company, A Place to Bury Strangers, Pulled Apart By Horses, Fanfarlo, The Joy Formidable, Skylarkin, The Xcerts and The Telegraphs. There's even a rave in a cowshed on Saturday night. So you'd be silly not to enter this competition - just be careful it doesn't sell out beforehand. Weekend tickets are priced at £70, day tickets are £40 and are available through the Truck website as well as friendly local outlets. To buy tickets, click here. For up-to-date news, the full line up and further information on tickets, also head over to the festival's website. eFestivals, in association with Truck, is offering two readers the chance to win a pair of full weekend tickets. To enter, simply correctly answer the question below. Rules:
The winners are S French from Enfield, and R Dexter from Cambridgeshire |
