Wizard festival, now in its fourth year, has booked two top Manchester indie bands for its 2010 event. Headlining for Friday will be James and the Happy Mondays take Saturday night's top spot. The festival has grown over the last three years and last year attracted 4,000 fans over two days.
A dance tent was introduced at last year's event and fans loved it so this year a full dance line-up will be on offer again with acts such as Slam, CagedBaby and Silicone Soul performing.
The rest of the line-up looks pretty powerful too with festival favourites Alabama 3 returning for another appearance and will be joined by acts such as Peatbog Faeries, Pearl and the Puppets, the Dykeenies, The Draymin, Sandi Thom, Hip Parade and Proud Mary.
Wizard is a family friendly event and a full two day programme of activities will be happening in the 'Wee Wizards' arena and there is separate family camping and a site for campervans and caravans.
Ticket prices have been capped and are on sale for the same price as last year with an adult weekend pass costing £70 – this includes all camping and car parking charges. Kids 12 and under go free and there is a Saturday only pass available for £45.
Held over the bank holiday weekend in August, Friday 27th & Saturday 28th, Wizard is the only two day music festival in the North-East of Scotland.
