The 10th anniversary of Yellow's on the Broom International Music & Arts Festival takes place in Inverbervie over the May Day Holiday weekend on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of May.

The festival of music, art and craft-forms has been held annually since 2000 on the May Day Holiday weekend in a barn on a working farm near Inverbervie and plays host to International and Scottish performers with the emphasis on quality and unusual acts that represent an international culture.

The festival has two daffodil-bedecked stages in a spacious barn offering each evening live international and homegrown dance music ranging from tango to blues/rock, Celtic to modern jazz, reggae to pop medleys, interspersed with surprises and a broad palette of local art forms.

The line-up for this year has been confirmed. The Saturday line-up includes Manosanta, Man At The Window, Flying Shoes, The residents, The Dull Fudds, Devil Train, All Or Nothing, Aerial Theatre, Harry Mudini, and Stefan Reusch.

Sunday's bill includes Tramps, Gerry Jablonski Blues Project, Jazz Co, Manosanta, The Trybe, All Or Nothing, Aerial Theatre, Harry Mudini, and Stefan Reusch.

Performances are expected to start at 7.30pm.

The style of the festival is deliberately aimed to appeal to all ages from 8 to 80 years with, children's features early in the evening and peripheral fringe performances in primary schools. Refreshments will be available in the spacious bar in one of the barn's stone-arched alcoves to the main floor area. High standard, professional outdoor catering has been organised.

Music, Dance, Craft and Conjuring tuition workshops are on offer for adults and children during the Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the nearby Mill of Benholm. The tearoom will be open 1-5 on Saturday and 2-5 Sunday. As well as the workshops, there will be 'Fringe Events'.

Tickets are on sale in One Up Records or Cafe Bohéme - Aberdeen, The Harbour Bar - Gourdon, Post Office & Shop - Johnshaven, The Creel Inn - Catterline, Celtic Chords - Stonehaven, Filling Station - St. Cyrus, Henry Hogg Books - Montrose, Abbey Music - Arbroath, The Paper Shop - Inverbervie, Fettery Shoppe - Fettercairn, and Groucho's - Dundee. Tickets are priced at £19 for one evening or £37 for two evenings; accompanied children up to 11 years at half price. The organisers recommend buying or reserving tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
