tyranicide
Imagine Dragons have just announced a pretty big arena tour, I don't expect they'll be at r+l this year but they'll almost certainly sub (or even headline) when they return
Matt42
Imagine Dragons have just announced a pretty big arena tour, I don't expect they'll be at r+l this year but they'll almost certainly sub (or even headline) when they return Read a few boards of american festivals and apparently they are already asking for headline spots in the US, i'd imagine if the second album is successful it won't be long till they start doing the same here :/
lightning1000
They can ask all they want, they won't get headline spots.
dentalplan
I think they're already headlining a couple of American festivals but I don't reckon that affects their UK billing. I had kinda gotten it into my head they'd sub Metallica but the arena tour makes that unlikely. Dunno who will now. Maybe they'll have two third down acts being bumped up to co-sub. tyranicide
I'd say Fall Out Boy are likely to sub Metallica even with the arena tour
Yellow_Fellow
I could really do with it not being Fall Out Boy

the wonderwhy
Yeah it's not going to be Fall Out Boy if they're then playing Leeds Arena two months later (which hasn't even sold out yet)
DomDom1984
Agree with the majority here. There's no way that Fall Out Boy are subbing Metallica with the arena tour coming up.

I really can't see who else would be an appropriate/popular sub for Metallica though

DomDom1984
You know, it might be worth being wary of both Frank Turner and Bring Me the Horizon as real possibilities. Not sure they SHOULD be in there, but I've got a feeling they might well be.

Andre91
If RHCP have an album out in August, I don't see how that makes them any less likely (not that they are likely already, right?). Humbug came out something like a week before AM first headlined R&L. I'd take RHCP over Mumford or Linkin Park any day. DomDom1984
Or... maybe... two different nights.
JSmurphy
Got a feeling that if The Libertines and Knife Party are playing they'll be announced in March, can't see R&L announcing a headliner / NME headliner only a few days after they've both been announced for different festivals (T / Wireless). DomDom1984
As has been said countless times already, T in the Park will have no effect. Could be right about Knife Party, but I reckon they might be insignificant enough for it not to matter.

dentalplan
I think Frank Turner could sub but I thought he'd have at least announced an album by now and I couldn't see him being announced to sub before a new album. BMTH have just finished their tour and won't have an album out even before the festival. Can't see them being there at all.
