Something that really made me cringe!

every stage i went to there was always a fucking GO PRO camera on a long stick...just there in my vision... i know there has been a lot of moaning since Monday on these forums and im surprised these haven't been mentioned... i made my way to people on two situations....and asked them if they were aware the bbc were filming everything..and unless they had some budget cuts and youre a crew member then i was miffed why you had a camera on a stick....i might get some stick off everyone on here...but i was really annoyed by it!

i know they dont get in the way.. theyre ust there.. and just made me wonder... the footage wouldnt be that good... and well its all accessible online..i just saw no use for them at stages...

Didnt really bother me as they were so small, thought it was quite a cool idea, theyre really tough bits of kit that would be easy to carry around.

I didn't have much experience with the Go Pro's but the one I did encounter added to Arcade Fire's set and made it more enjoyable. There was a guy wandering around (as much as he could down near the front) shoving it in people's faces when they least expected it. I remember one girl yawning and this camera came down on stick and was practically down her throat before she realised - she saw the funny side of it.

Those I saw didn't annoy me at all - probably captured some great individual moments, and the fact they're on a stick means the footage would be a lot more stable should they choose to share it and we don't have to put up with a shitload of shaky 30 second portrait videos of chavs dancing to Skrillex to reminisce.

Of all the camera/phone options they are the least irritating to the point of not minding at all

Though I still remember wanting to throw a pint at the guy from last year who kept getting himself up on his mates shoulders and swinging around with it facing towards him to film himself pulling harry-potter-wow face at everything think I saw him ten times that year, must have good music taste tho in retrospect

if only they did better sound :S
