The organisers of the proposed Freedom Festival that was to take place at the Larmer Tree Gardens on 16th October 2004 regret to announce that they have been forced to cancel the event. A spokesperson commented, "We have had to withdraw the license application and therefore cancel because the owners of the land withdrew their permission. We will be making a claim for damages and have been advised by our solicitors not to make any further comment".
The charity event was due to take place on 16th October, with headliners to include Danny Rampling, Joey Beltram and The Shapeshifters. The organisers would like to express their disappointment and are extremely sorry that the proposed donation to the Willow Foundation will not be forthcoming.
