Unsigned Stage at Leeds Festival

The opportunity for your band to play at Leeds

Friday 16th June 2006

Unsigned bands will get the opportunity to perform at this years Leeds Festival. Following the success of the Unsigned Stage at last year's event festival organisers Mean Fiddler have announced that the stage will make another appearance this year, as the Topman Unsigned Stage.

The bands selected to play will be picked from demos that can be handed in at Topman stores across the country. The best entries will go on to play at the Leeds Festival, held at Branham Park from Friday the 25th to Sunday the 27th of August.

If you want your band to play at this year's Leeds Festival hand in your demo (on CD format) at the following selected Topman stores from June 19th:

Glasgow (Argyle Street)
Newcastle (Eldon Square)
Leeds (Briggate)
Sheffield (Fargate)
Liverpool (Church Street)
Manchester (Arndale Centre)
Nottingham (Victoria Centre)
Birmingham (Bullring)

Deadline for all entries is June 30th and selection will be announced on July the 17th.

The acts selected will get the chance to play to a potential 70,000 music fans and will join a line-up that includes Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Pearl Jam, Kaiser Chiefs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, The Streets, Feeder, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Slayer, Primal Scream, The Raconteurs, Maximo Park, Dizzee Rascal, Coheed & Cambria, The Rakes, and loads more, with many more still to be confirmed. For the full line-up to date, click here for Reading or here for Leeds. There's much more still to be announced, with The Lock-up Stage to be announced on Tuesday 30th May.

Tickets are on sale, but all weekend tickets are sold out. Day tickets cost £60 for any day (no camping).
