Plain White T's for Reading & Leedsplus Mindless Self Indulgence, Henry Rollins, Jeffrey Lewis, and moreTuesday 20th May 2008 Reading and Leeds festivals have announced the latest addition to the line-ups for the twin festival taking place on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August. Added to this year's main stage artists are Plain White T's, and Mindless Self Indulgence playing on Sunday at Reading and Friday at Leeds. The Alternative stage returns for a second year with music, comedy and cabaret performances. The first acts confirmed for this year are Henry Rollins doing a spoken word set and appearing on Sunday 24th August at Reading and Saturday 23rd August Leeds, and Jeffrey Lewis comic book author, poet and spoken word artist who appears at Reading on Friday 22nd August and Leeds on Sunday 24th August. There also an addition to the line-up on the Radio One/NME Stage with Pete And The Pirates on the Friday at Reading and Saturday at Leeds. The Lock-Up stage has added Tiger Army, The Briggs, and Blackhole. There is still more yet to come with the full bill for the Festival Republic stage, the BBC Introducing Stage for unsigned bands at both sites and the Alternative Stage. These are just the latest addition to a line-up of over 150 acts over the weekend on six stages. The Main Stage sees Rage Against The Machine, The Killers, and Metallica headlining. Plus Queens Of The Stone Age, The Fratellis, The Enemy, Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, The Raconteurs, Editors, Tenacious D, Slipknot, Feeder, Avenged Sevenfold, Dropkick Murphys, Babyshambles, The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, Manic Street Preachers, Bullet For My Valentine, The Cribs, and Pendulum. The price for a ticket was £155 for the 3 days with camping, day tickets are £65, campervans £10, lockers £15, and early entry tickets £10. Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire. Both festivals happen on Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August.
