There are more acts confirmed for BLOC Weekend which brings three days of independent electronic music to festival goers at a new location in 2009, Butlins Holiday Camp, Minehead, Somerset from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th March.
Joining the headliners, the previously announced The Future Sound of London, will be reggae star and producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry, electronic experimenter Jamie Lidell, hip hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa, and techno dance duo Frequency 7 which features Ben Sims and DJ Surgeon.
BLOC Weekend has previously confirmed that it has moved from Norfolk to the Somerset Butlins Holiday Camp. The new site offers self-catered heated chalet accommodation, with ensuite and are equipped with beds, kitchen, showers and all mod cons.
Butlins, Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include a Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride, plus ten-pin bowling and an amusement arcade.
Tickets for BLOC weekend are priced at £125 per person and bookings are done per chalet. Tickets have to be bought in groups of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 according to the size of the apartment wanted.
