The Fans Strike Back at All Tomorrows Parties (weekend one)you get to choose the bands!Friday 31st October 2008 Details have been revealed for the first of the two All Tomorrows Parties which are to happen in May 2009. Subtitled "The Fans Stike Back", the fans get to prove themselves once more by curating half the line-up for the event which happens at Butlins Resort, Minehead, Somerset from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th May 2009. Half of the festival line-up will be chosen by ATP while the other half gets voted for by everyone that buys a ticket. Making things a little more interesting, for the first round of voting at least (which opens on Monday 17th November), no bands can be picked that have ever played a UK ATP event before. The first confirmed acts, chosen by ATP are post-punk band Devo making a rare UK festival appearance, along with legendary stoner rock band Sleep, reforming for two performances at ATP as a world exclusive that will never be repeated. They will perform the album 'Holy Mountain' as well as selections from 'Dopesmoker', and more. Also confirmed are Spritualised (the full band, not the Acoustic Mainlines version), and Oregon's Grails. Tickets are on sale priced at £150 per person, with bookings taken per room or chalet. To buy click here. Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV.
