BLOC Weekend which brings three days of electronic music to Butlins Resort, Minehead, Somerset from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th March have announced a curated showcase from Overkill, best known for their own tent at Glade Festival, who will be taking over a stage at BLOC for the night.
BLOC have also announced a raft of new acts for the weekend line-up including Modeselektor, Metro Arena, 4hero, Egyptian Lover, Altern-8, Arabian Prince, Dynamix II, Si Begg, DJ Godfather, Daniel Bell, I-F, Heartbreak, Bizzy B, Dylan, 2 Bad Mice, Beardyman, Global Goon, Ulrich Schnauss, and Clark.
BLOC promises a line-up of something like 60+ international acts, including The Future Sound of London, Lee Scratch Perry, Carl Craig, Mad Professor, Zion Train, Jamie Lidell, Afika Bambaata, and Frequency 7 (Ben Sims v Surgeon). For the line-up details as available please click here.
BLOC Weekend has moved from Norfolk to the Somerset Butlins Holiday Camp. The new site offers self-catered heated chalet accommodation, with ensuite and are equipped with beds, kitchen, showers and all mod cons.
Butlins, Minehead is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include a Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride, plus ten-pin bowling and an amusement arcade.
Tickets for BLOC weekend are priced at £125 per person and bookings are done per chalet. Tickets have to be bought in groups of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 according to the size of the apartment wanted. 'Self-Catering' apartments have a kitchen and a separate living room, and 'Room-Only' apartments do not.
