The Fans choose Beruit for ATPfirst act as The Fans Strike BackMonday 15th December 2008 All Tomorrows Parties - The Fans Strike Back, where the fans get to curate half the line-up for the event which happens at Butlins Resort, Minehead, Somerset from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th May 2009 have added the first act chosen by the fans. That act is the band of 22-year-old Santa Fe native Zach Condo, Beirut. Also added to the line-up - this time by All Tomorrow's Parties themselves - are the Retribution Gospel Choir. Half of the line-up for this festival will be chosen by ATP while the other half is being voted for by everyone that buys a ticket. No bands can be picked that have ever played a UK ATP event before. Previously confirmed acts, all chosen by ATP, include: Devo, Spiritualised, Young Marble Giants performing 'Colossal Youth', Anti-pop Consortium, Sleep (performing 'Holy Mountain', selections from 'Dopesmoker', and more), Grails, and more. Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV.
