Glastonbury Festival confirm Franz Ferdinandfirst act officially confirmedMonday 9th February 2009Following Franz Ferdinand's self-confirmation as playing this year's Glastonbury Festival, the Festival has now officially confirmed their appearance. Tickets for Glastonbury Festival held for five full days from Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2009 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset have already sold out months before the event. A further release of tickets will be available from 9am on Sunday 5th April 2009, although in order to do so you must have registered beforehand to be eligible to buy a ticket. However, it's unlikely that they'll be a huge number of tickets available on that day. They will be priced at £175 (plus a booking fee of £5). Online registration is still available and can be carried out by clicking here. Those without internet access can apply for a registration form (enclosing an SAE) to Glastonbury, PO Box 2445, Glasgow G40 9AG. Registration will close from 5pm on Tuesday 31st March before the next main ticket selling period. The ticket price includes includes a FREE programme, a useful cloth bag, and small around the neck guide. Car parking tickets can be bought at the same time and are priced at £10 per vehicle, and campervan tickets are priced at £65 per van. Car parking and campervan tickets can only be bought when paying the balance of your tickets, or buying a ticket outright.
