Def Leppard, have been confirmed as headliners for this year's Download.
As previously reported by eFestivals Whitesnake who said they would be playing on the Sunday, will be joining them at the festival. The latest additions to the bill announced by Kerrang (here) include American heavy metallers Trivium, and the newly reformed Limp Bizkit.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and guitarist Wes Borland said of their decision to reform, "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other."
The confirmed acts for the festival which takes place over the weekend of Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2009 are Slipknot, Korn, Dragonforce, Devildriver, Motley Crue, Pendulum, and The Prodigy. For the latest rumours of who might be playing, please click here.
Tickets will go on sale at 9am tomorrow (February 13) and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then. Prices are as follows: a full weekend ticket is priced at £135, camping is an extra £25 (family camping is also available), car parking tickets are priced at £10 advance, £20 on the day, camper vans tickets are priced at £40, and lockers will be £11.
