Kasabian are the first band to be announced alongside the rescheduled Oasis date for the 2009 Eden Sessions, held at the Eden Project in Cornwall.
Kasabian will be headlining the Eden Project stage on Saturday 4th July. The Leicester based band release their new album on Monday 1st June. This will be their third record following 2004's self-titled debut and the band's second 'Empire' released in 2006.
Peter Hampel, Eden's Creative Director, said, "We've got our work cut out in 2009 to match last year's success, but Kasabian are without doubt, one of the world's top live acts and alongside Oasis, have given us the best possible start."
Oasis have already been confirmed for the Eden Project, playing their rescheduled concert on Tuesday 14th July. Tickets for Kasabian are on sale from 6pm, on Tuesday 24th February and eFestivals will have links for you to get them then.
The Eden Sessions consist of six evenings of popular music in the beautiful surroundings of the Eden Project in Cornwall. A Sessions ticket entitles the ticket holder to visit the Eden Project either on the day of the concert or the day after. All proceeds from the events will go to the Eden Trust.
