Oxegen has also announced a new - the Red Bull Music Academy Arena. The unique arena structure which has never been to Ireland before will include headliners Florence & the Machine, Ladyhawke, and Of Montreal, with more acts still to be confirmed.
The line-up includes Kings of Leon, Blur, and The Killers as headliners, with Lily Allen, Keane, The Specials, Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, The Script, Katy Perry, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Peter Doherty, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Ting Tings, White Lies, Fight Like Apes, Pendulum, and more confirmed. Oxegen takes place at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co Kildare, Ireland from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July.
Tickets will go on general release on Friday 6th March 2009 at 8am and are priced at a 2008 price freeze of €224.50 for 3 day including camping ticket. For an extra €20 fans can purchase a 4 day ticket including camping ticket to include Thursday also.
As a special thank you to those who purchased Early Bird tickets before 31st December 08, there is a €20 cashback on-site at the festival or in advance at point of purchase. This year Oxegen is introducing a Ticket Deposit Scheme. Ticket purchasers can pay a €120 deposit to secure tickets and pay the remaining balance before Thursday 30th April 2009. All ticket purchases are limited to 4 per person, and to encourage car pooling, one free car pass will be issued with every 4 tickets purchased.
