Razorlight to play Eden Sessions

playing Cornwall in July

Tuesday 3rd March 2009

Razorlight are the latest act to be confirmed for the this year's Eden Sessions.

The Kooks
Razorlight will be headlining the Eden Project stage on Thursday 9th July. The band, fronted by Johnny Borrell, released their third studio album 'Slipway Fires' late last year. Their 2006 self-titled follow-up hit number one and featured 'In The Morning' and the chart-topping 'America'. The album followed 2004's debut 'Up All Night', which launched five top ten singles including 'Somewhere Else' and 'Golden Touch'.

The London based four-piece are the latest top name to add to the 2009 Sessions line-up of Kasabian, The Kooks, and Oasis.

Peter Hampel, Eden's Creative Director, said, "With four bands confirmed already, this year’s Sessions sees some of the worlds’ greatest guitar bands descending on Cornwall. We’ve had our sights on Razorlight for the last three years and they will be a real highlight."

The Kooks are the third big-name act for the Eden Project, joining the already confirmed Kasabian headlining on Saturday 4th July, and Oasis playing on Tuesday 14th July.

Oasis tickets have already sold out. Tickets for Kasabian, and The Kooks are on sale priced at £35, to buy tickets, click here. Razorlight tickets are on sale from Tuesday 10th March. eFestivals will have links for you to get them then.

The Eden Sessions now in their eighth year, consist of six evenings of popular music in the beautiful surroundings of the Eden Project in Cornwall. A Sessions ticket entitles the ticket holder to visit the Eden Project either on the day of the concert or the day after. All proceeds from the events will go to the Eden Trust.
