Scouting For Girls, and Sugababes to headline Cornburyplus Sharleen Spiteri, The Pretenders, The Damned , and more for line-upThursday 12th March 2009Scouting For Girls, and Sugababes are to the top the bill at this year's Cornbury Music Festival.
Sunday will have Sugababes headlining with support from The Pretenders, Joe Jackson, Imelda May, Ava Leigh, and Laura & The Tears. The Second Stage is headlined on the Saturday by The Damned, with Teddy Thompson, The Shortwave Set, I Am Kloot, Amy Lavere, The Kingsize Five, and The Love Trousers in support. Headlining the second stage on the Sunday is Peatbog Faeries, with Mary Coughlan, Eddi Reader, Coute Diomboulou, 3 Daft Monkeys, and Stornoway also appearing. "Cornbury is a unique experience in all manner of ways", says promoter Hugh Phillimore. "We're immensely proud of our musical diversity and family friendly ethos. Where else could you see The Damned and the Sugababes on one bill?" The sixth Cornbury festival is held at Cornbury Park, Charlbury, Oxfordshire and happens on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July 2009. In addition to the music, the festival offers a variety of attractions including a fairground, theatre workshops, arts and crafts, speciality shops, novelty acts and upmarket catering offering everything from champagne and cappuccinos to real ale. Tickets are on sale, priced at £90 for an adult, and £45 for an under-16 child for the weekend, with camping £20 extra.
