Scottish indie rockers, Idlewild are set to headline this year's Godiva Festival.

Idlewild will headline the main stage on Saturday July 4th. Mick McLaughlin, Marketing and Communications Manager at CV One Ltd, who organises the event said, "CV One are really pleased to have secured Idlewild, they are long standing leaders of the indie scene with a broad and diverse fan base and we think they will be perfect to play the main stage at this year's Godiva Festival."

The Midlands' biggest three-day FREE festival, which attracts over 70,000 people to an eclectic mix of rock, hip-hop, folk, comedy, poetry, and world music takes place at Memorial Park, in Coventry and runs from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July 2009.

In addition to live musical performances the ticketless festival will also welcome the annual carnival, a fairground and many more family and community based activities and entertainment.
