Glastonbury Festival confirm more acts

Doves, White Lies, The Ting Tings, Echo and the Bunnymen, and more

Friday 3rd April 2009

Glastonbury Festival have confirmed a few more acts for this year's festival.

Doves

Emiliana Torrini
The latest acts to be added to the line-up are Doves, White Lies, Echo and the Bunnymen, Emiliana Torrini, Florence & The Machine, Lily Allen, and The Ting Tings.

eFestivals believes that Doves, White Lies, and Echo and the Bunnymen will be the headliners for the John Peel Tent. The only other acts confirmed for this year's line-up are Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band as Saturday night headliner, and Blur and Neil Young as the other headliners, plus Fleet Foxes, and Franz Ferdinand.

A further release of the final few thousand tickets to this year's Festival go on sale from 9am this Sunday, 5th April 2009, although in order to do so you must have registered beforehand to be eligible to buy a ticket. Registration has now closed. However, it's unlikely that they'll be a huge number of tickets available on that day. They will be priced at £175 (plus a booking fee of £5).

To buy tickets online, once they are available from 9am on Sunday, click here.

To buy tickets on Sunday by telephone ring 0844 412 4635 (UK sales) or +44 1159 934 183 (International sales). Please note that UK sales will not be accepted on the International sales line.

Glastonbury Festival is held for five full days from Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2009 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset.

This year's full Glastonbury line-up won't be announced until a month before the Festival. To see who has been confirmed, and who might be playing take a look at the eFestivals' Glastonbury 2009 rumours >>.
