The Wildhearts for Sonisphere

plus Architects, Dirty Little Rabbits, Glamour Of The Kill, and Fact

Wednesday 17th June 2009

There are five more new additions to this summer's Sonisphere festival line-up.

The Wildhearts
Fronted by Ginger The Wildhearts will join the bill on Saturday to celebrate their twentieth anniversary in style. The side project of Shawn Crahan, founder of Slipknot, Dirty Little Rabbits, will also be making their UK debut at this year's festival. Playing in Bohemia will be Brighton noise merchants Architects, York metallers Glamour Of The Kill, and Japan's Fact making their UK debut.

Architects' drummer Dan Searle comments, "We're so stoked to play Sonisphere! Metallica are playing for Christ's sake - nuff said! The line up is amazing and we're really excited to be a part of it."

Chris from Glamour Of The Kill added, "We're really excited to be on the line-up for this years Sonisphere. Its about time we had more large scale rock/metal festivals in this country and with Metalli-fuckin-ca being on the line-up they haven't got off to a shabby start!"

The event will have one main arena with a stage at either end. As well as Metallica, who top the bill on the Sunday with a full two-hour set, there are 18 confirmed exclusive festival appearances and over 30 acts playing. There are also acts confirmed for the Bohemia Area, with further additions to that line-up expected soon. For the line-up details as available, please click here.

Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50, or £157.50 with camping. Lockers are priced at £10, and parking is also £10 in advance or £20 on the day. And early arrival camping entry ticket is priced at £10, and tickets for camper vans are priced at £40. Day tickets are available priced at £67.50 for either day.
