Electric Picnic add Dinosaur Jr, Neko Case, and Dan Deaconplus Diplo, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, and many moreFriday 3rd July 2009 Dinosaur Jr, Neko Case, Dan Deacon, Diplo, and Kid Creole and the Coconuts, are just some of the latest announcements for Ireland's Electric Picnic.
The line-up is further increased by the addition of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, The Temper Trap, The Acorn, First Aid Kit, Julie Feeney, One Day International, and The Lost Brothers. The Little Big Tent is invaded on the Friday night by a host of acts from Diplo's record label, Mad Decent, including Buraka Som Sistema, Fake Blood, Major Lazer, and Boy 8 Bit. Back for its sixth year, Electric Picnic is held a month later this year, on Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September at Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois - less than an hour from Dublin. The line-up includes the previously announced Orbital, The Flaming Lips, Basement Jaxx, Madness, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Klaxons, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Bell X1, Chic, Seasick Steve, 2manydjs, Lisa Hannigan, Explosions In The Sky, ABC, Damien Dempsey, Alabama 3, Bat For Lashes, Zero 7, Erol Alkan, Roots Manuva, The Sugarhill Gang, Billy Bragg, Lykke Li, Imelda May, Echo And The Bunnymen, Magazine, and many more. Tickets are priced at 240 euros for an adult weekend ticket, a family camping ticket is priced at 480 euros for 2 adults and up to 4 kids aged under 12 with access to a designated family campsite.
