Dananananaykroyd
The line-up for the third annual Swn Festival includes Welsh champions Los Campesinos! will curate their very own night at the festival and will perform alongside Dananananaykroyd. Pioneering electronic producer Daedelus will be making an appearance with the likes of Gold Panda and Minotaur Shock.

The festival also offers a wealth of emerging talent including San Francisco band Girls, Scotland's Copy Haho, Sparky Deathcap, Munch Munch, The Leisure Society, Sweet Baboo, Lucky Soul, Sons of Noel & Adrian, Cymdeithas Yr Hobos Unig, and Hail! The Planes.

The line-up also features Martin Carr, Son Capson, Cat Mouse Cat, Islet, Huw M, The Broken Family Band, Science Bastard, Three Trapped Tigers, Them Squirrels, Gaggle, Exit International, Hafaliadau = Equations, Strange News From Another Star, and John Grindell.

The event which was started by DJ Huw Stephens takes place in Cardiff this year from Thursday 22nd until Saturday 24th October 2009, in over a dozen venues, with over 100 bands performing.

Earlybird tickets are available until tomorrow, Friday 31 July, priced at £15 for a 1-day pass and just £40 for a 3-day pass. To buy tickets, click here .

The festival uses a wristband system which offers free access to as many shows as possible, plus art exhibitions, film and last year also into three one day music conferences during Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A wristband also entitles the wearer to discounts in stores in Cardiff (to be confirmed), and free rides on the Swn buses across town over the main Swn weekend.

The event will feature bands from both Wales and across the world, as well as DJs, film and art. There will be lots of different genres from hip hop to indie, folk, dance and rock. Due to a noise abatement order there will be no live music at Ten Feet Tall venue.

Other events expected at the festival include a silent disco, cinema, workshops, and art exhibitions.
