exclusive: first act confirmed for Endorse It In Dorset

Endorse It In Dorset returns in 2010 over the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th August at it's usual site near Shaftesbury, in Dorset.
The organisers - members of the Dorset-based 'cow punk' band Pronghorn - know that it's tough out there. So whilst other festivals are increasing their prices, tickets for Endorse it in Dorset 2010 have been kept low to give as many people as possible the chance to enjoy a festival this year. An adult three day weekend ticket will cost £70. For all the price and ticket options, see further down this page.
Meanwhile, Endorse It have also confirmed their first act for next year - The Damned. Many more acts from up-and-coming local bands and Dorset favourites to international stars plus some DJs will be announced over the coming months for the festival's three tented stages that run into the early hours.
Famous for it's 'old school' festival vibe, Endorse It also features 'Punk Karaoke' where all-comers can sing on stage with a live band, beer tents with proper beer and cider, its 'Ladies Day' for those that like to dress up, and side shows and entertainers - all designed to appeal to all ages including families.
Changes for 2010 will include the addition of compostable toilets alongside the usual loos, plus a small charge for parking as a way to try and encourage car sharing and the use of public transport to the site as a way to help reduce the environmental impact. Along with a high recycling rate, the festival is using compostable beer glasses, and making a donation towards local green charities.
