Dizzee Rascal to headline Friday of new 3 day Lovebox

plus Chase & Status, and tickets on sale today

Tuesday 8th December 2009

Dizzee Rascal, and Chase & Status are the first acts to be announced for next year's Lovebox which expands to three days in 2010.

Dizzee Rascal
Dizzee Rascal said, "I'm really looking forward to headlining such a wicked event in the area where I grew up." Each day of the festival will have a distinct musical identity. The opening day sees Dizzee Rascal headline a day showcasing the current dance and pop collision with Chase & Status also announced today, both acts will launch Lovebox 2010 with performances on the Friday.

The Lovebox Weekender will return to London's Victoria Park from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th July 2010.

Saturday will stick closely to the Lovebox formula that has delivered two consecutive sell out shows, with an all encompassing eclectic line up, a strong party vibe and a classic heritage artist or two for good measure.

The closing Sunday will centre on the very best in dance music with the festival broadening its metropolitan polysexual reach with an event that will draw on everything London has to offer in terms of music, fashion, style, art and everything in between.

The 40-acre site will also feature new acts, performers, stage sets and special effects from all over the world for what promises to be a carnival of anarchic entertainment.

Tickets are priced at £80 for both Friday and Saturday, or £45 per day. Under 12s go free (ID required to gain entry) - max of 4 under 12s per adult. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
