AC/DC, and Them Crooked Vultures for Download

AC/DC lead the line-up of the first acts announced for Donington Park's Download festival.

The first acts to be confirmed are AC/DC, Them Crooked Vultures, Wolfmother, Bullet For My Valentine, Motorhead, Stone Temple Pilots, and Volbeat, Deftones, and Megadeth with many more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

AC/DC announced, "England... this summer, there's gonna be some rockin'! With three Monsters of Rock Festivals under their belt, AC/DC has a history of bringing the big guns to the UK's Donington Park, and this June, they're coming back for another go around. Get ready."

Download returns for an eighth year to Donington Park and will be held over the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010.

Weekend arena tickets with camping will be priced at £170, and a weekend only ticket without camping will priced at £140. Lockers in the campsite are priced at £11 with car parking £10 in advance, £20 on the day. A campervan supplement is £40. There will be an additional £10 charge to enter the campsite either on the Wednesday or Thursday.

Kids aged 12 or under are expected to be eligible for concession rate tickets. These will only be available on the day from the on-site Box Office and there will be unlimited availability.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday. 29th January, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
