Download have announced that there will be a ban on flags on sticks in the arena at this year's Download festival.
Festival organisers posted the news on the Download forum, (here), saying, "Due to an overwhelming number of complaints from people and now we have had chance to view the footage from previous years and can see what everyone means (and not see the acts on stage!), we will be banning flags on sticks in the main arena. Hope you all understand that this is to ensure that everyone can enjoy what's on stage."
Confirmed acts include AC/DC headlining on the Friday, with a supporting card including Them Crooked Vultures, Wolfmother, Bullet For My Valentine, Motorhead, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, and Megadeth also confirmed.
Weekend arena tickets with camping will be priced at £170, and a weekend only ticket without camping will priced at £140. Lockers in the campsite are priced at £11 with car parking £10 in advance, £20 on the day. A campervan supplement is £40. There will be an additional £10 charge to enter the campsite either on the Wednesday or Thursday.
