The Maccabees for closing day of Liverpool Sound City
plus The Sunshine Underground, Hot Club De Paris, and many more
Thursday 18th February 2010
The Maccabees will play two shows on the closing day of this year's Liverpool Sound City.
Liverpool Sound City have partnered with Eat Your Own Ears and announced The Maccabees will play 2 shows at Liverpool's 02 Academy on the closing day of the festival. Also confirmed for Liverpool Sound City which happens over four days and nights from Wednesday 19th until Saturday 22nd May at multiple venues and spaces in Liverpool's cultural quarter are The Sunshine Underground, local lads Hot Club De Paris, Attack! Attack!, and Ian McNabb playing a one off special Sound City show.
Sound City Festival Director Dave Pichilingi said, "Eat Your Own Ears and The Maccabees fit perfectly with the Sound City ethos. Eat Your Own Ears are the coolest promoters in the UK. They promote and book for some of the best festivals in the UK including Field Day and underage Festival. Their line ups are always eclectic and like our very own bookers they have those amazing ears and knack to book the right things at the right time. They do not jump on bandwagons but instead serve to present the best acts before anybody else gets to hear of them. Notable successes over the past few years include Hot Chip, The Temper Trap, Florence and the Machine and The Big Pink. Like our bookers they have worked with Maccabees from their earliest roots. This is going to be a must see show for Sound City 2010."
These latest acts join the previously announced Paloma Faith, Speech Debelle and Wave Machines.
Tickets are priced at £45 for a festival weekend ticket, with individual concert tickets also available. To buy tickets, click here.
