Ocean Colour Scene to headline The Wickermanplus The Futureheads,The Undertones, and more as first acts namedFriday 19th March 2010 Ocean Colour Scene, The Futureheads and The Undertones lead the first acts to be announced for Scotland's The Wickerman Festival.
Joining them on the main stage bill will be The Futureheads, The Saw Doctors, Codeine Velvet Club, Sons and Daughters, and The Grass Mountain Hobos. Headlining the Scooter Tent at the festival held near Dundrennan, South West Scotland, in deepest Galloway will be legendary five piece The Undertones with support from Back To The Planet, Sex Pistols Experience, Ed Tudor Pole, The Amphetameanies, Doll & The Kicks, Root System, Strawberry Blondes, Monkeyrush, and The Counterfeit Clash. Festival spokesperson Sid Ambrose said, "We are an all ages event and the 2010 line-up will show a depth of acts that should appeal to teenagers, students and families alike." The festival welcomes families, and features two main stages, as well as a dance area, acoustic and reggae tents, a campsite, trade stalls, alternative area, bars, and food stalls. There are no acts confirmed yet for this year's event. Weekend adult tickets cost £85, teens aged 13-15 cost £42.50, kids under 13 are admitted free. To buy, click here. This year's fancy dress theme is Vampires and Werewolves.
