Added to the Big Top line-up on Sunday are three up and coming acts the celtic fusion band The Geees, the incredibly young and hugely talented Theo Altieri, and singer songwriter Noush Skaugen, with Bristol based world music band Baraka also playing that day.

Playing the Big Top on Saturday is rising folk act Rob Cowen & The Dissidents, and Senegalese master musician Jali Fily Cissokho.

There will also be plenty to keep all ages entertained in the workshop area. 'The Green' will offer festival goers lots of new additions and old favourites for to enjoy and take a breather from the music.

New additions for 2010 include The Poetry Pod – an interactive silver caravan where experienced poets will help you find your muse and The Yarnsmith's Medieval Storytelling Tent with a rolling programme of exciting stories . For the first time the festival also welcomes the Silly Science Workshop where children can discover how to create a rocket with fizzy pop power alone. Holding the Circus Skills workshops will be Circus Kaos who are also new this year. Mirage Belly Dancers will be sure to get festival goers shaking their stuff, and Electric Cabaret's Pop Up Circus will be making it's UK festival debut at Wychwood.

Contemporary Dance workshops will also be available with new workshops this year including Samba with Bath School of Samba, sessions in Musical Theatre for all fans of Saturday evening TV shows and Ukelele Workshops too.

Wychwood also welcomes back some regular favourites such as Inta Africa's Drum Circle, Tango, The Musiclab Open Mic Sessions, Folk Unplugged, the Static Trapeze, Computer Animation and more.Plus of course the Making/Craft Tent with 10 different interactive activities!

Alongside all the other workshop venues, 'Hawthorn' is the festival's 'Performance Cafe' and just one of the four venues up on 'The Green'. Hawthorn is a place to kick back, relax and be entertained in the daytime, the mood changes in the evening with a jam session, live bands and finally poetry performance into the early hours.

Along with a gallery, comfy sofas and an interactive art exhibition (working alongside Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum) it will have a full programme of shows (including Sir Randolph Ramsbottom), singers (like Nick Cope), puppetry (eg Mouse Tale – with Wink Taylor who writes for Basil Brush, Sooty and CBBC) and storytelling.

Wychwood Festival takes place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June 2010 at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Wychwood Festival is a very family-friendly, intimate and inclusive for audience and musician alike, blending world, roots and contemporary music, and encouraging new collaborations. There's also comedy, workshops, and more.
