due to her battle with malaria, Groove Armada will now headline

Monday 12th July 2010

Cheryl Cole, who was due to headline The Arena Stage at Hylands Park on Saturday, and then Weston Park on Sunday, has been signed off work for two months whilst she recovers from a bout of malaria in University College London clinic.

A spokesman for the Girls Aloud singer said she was "recovering well" after being released from intensive care on Friday, and added, "Following medical advice Cheryl will not be able to take part in X Factor's Boot Camp stage or perform at V."

Groove Armada have been moved up the bill to headline for the twin-sited V Festival which takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday 21st and 22nd August 2010 this year.
