Glastonbury Festival resale tickets on sale again on Sunday

UPDATED: cancelled/refunded tickets all gone

A further release of a limited number of cancelled tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival went on sale from 9am this Sunday, 17th April 2011, and adult tickets sold out in under 45 minutes, with only coach and ticket options still available, and those all went within two hours.

In order to purchase these cancelled/refunded tickets in the resale ticket buyers must have been registered beforehand to be eligible to buy a ticket.

Tickets were priced at £195 (plus postage and packaging, and a booking fee of £5). Tickets were sold online at http://www.seetickets.com/g2011 and via the Seetickets booking line 0844 412 4635. Bookings could not be made through Seetickets' mobile site.

After 45 minutes only coach and ticket options (where tickets are given out on the coach) were still available, offering a Green Traveller lanyard giving discounts on food, plus access to exclusive solar showers and loos. These all sold out before 11am.

Anyone aged 13 or over (when the Festival starts) who wishes to buy a ticket must be registered. Registration for Glastonbury Festival 2011 is now closed and will re open at 9am on Monday 18th April 2011. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom a ticket is being booked. Tickets were limited to four per transaction, a car park ticket was priced at £20 and a campervan ticket was priced at £75. Car park tickets, campervan tickets and routing stickers will be sent out with the Festival tickets; unless bought in a later transaction, in which case they will be sent separately and will have a separate booking reference for use on the ticket tracker.

Ticket purchasers were able to add the optional TicketPlan Protection for an additional £4.50 per person when paying the balance for tickets. Should they then be unable to attend the Festival, this should enable them to receive a refund for the face value of the Festival tickets.

Payment by card for UK sales (both online and by telephone) was by the following debit cards only - Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro Domestic and Solo. Credit cards will not be accepted for UK sales. For the purpose of ticket sales the UK includes Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

Those purchasing by telephone were told a booking reference number, this number should be written down and kept safe. It is the confirmation of purchase.

Those purchasing online will be sent a confirmation email and booking reference number. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive this within 24 hours. Keep the confirmation email safe. If you have any queries about your purchase you will need the booking reference number.

The booking reference number can be used on the ticket tracker to confirm a purchase.

Any transaction that results in a charge back or payment dispute will be cancelled. It is the ticket purchasers responsibility to ensure that they have sufficient funds in their account to pay for the tickets. The transaction will in many cases will be completed immeadiately or during the five working days following the sale.

"If there has ever been a better line-up anywhere else in the country, then I promise I'll retire this year!" says Festival Organiser Michael Eavis. "This covers every aspect of popular music culture and really gives people something to look forward to in this austere climate - the benefits of which have to last for two years, until we're back again in 2013!"
