Orbital have been unveiled as headliners for this year's Beatherder Festival, as Saturday night headliners.
The Hartnoll brothers who are "ready to reclaim their title as lightheaded lords of the dance arena" are soon releasing their first album in eight years 'Wonky' on 1st April. Festival organisers said, "Orbital are playing only a few festival dates, and to be the first among them means Beat-Herder No 7 will indeed be a special one."
Expect there to be eleven stages or musical areas these will include The Beat-Herder Stage, Toiltrees the dance area, Stumblefunk Soundsystem, Trailer Trash, The Bushrocker Family HiFi, The Beat-Herder & District Working Men's Social Club, and The Lazy Meadow & Smoky Tentacles Shisha Lounge.
The three day Beatherder festival takes place in Gisburn, Lancashire, with the dates for this the seventh year confirmed as Friday 29th June until Sunday 1st July 2012. The festival is independently funded and has no involvement in corporate organisations, nor does it receive any sponsorship.
Tickets are priced at £100. A child ticket for those aged 12 and under are priced at £17, with infants (18 months and under) able to attend free. A car parking ticket is priced at £6. A campervans/live-in vehicle pass is priced at £17 - festival goers are asked to buy these in advance to reduce the queues seen in 2011.
