Atoms For Peace for Slovakia's Pohoda Festival

Atoms for Peacetop the latest additions for the 30,000 capacity Pohoda Festival held annually at Trencin Airport, Trencin, in Slovakia.

The group built around Radiohead Thom Yorke are one of the most anticipated music ensembles, their debut album, 'Amok', is released next week. The core of the group formed in 2009, to tour Thom Yorke's solo album 'The Eraser'. Their line-up includes bassist Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, responsible for guitars and electronics is longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, REM drummer Joey Waronker and David Byrne's drummer Mauro Refosco are on percussion duties.

Pohoda is their first appearance in Europe, and only their second festival appearance outside the United States their first being Japan's Fuji Rock in 2010.

Latest additions also include Bloc Party, Bonobo, SBTRKT, Tony Allen, Ondatropica, Sam Lee and Friends, The Bots, Karin Park.

Pohoda will run from Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th July. The festival features alternative music, rock, pop, dance music, world music, house, techno, drum and bass, hip hop, but also theatre, discussions, chamber music, dance and literature workshops.

The word Pohoda means 'well-being' and 'coziness' in Slovakian and the festival offers a 'Relax Centre' which incorporates massage, lots of holistic delights, and huge chill-out tents. Other delights include bungee jumping, an art wall where artists paint a section at each year's festival and a captivating family-friendly children's area for the little ones. The festival has a campsite on site.

They join Erol Alkan, Justice (DJ Set), Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Smashing Pumpkins, BEAK>, Django Django, Amon Tobin, Kaiser Chiefs, Buena Vista Social Club, Bonga, Maia Vidal, Cafe Aman Istanbul, Dubioza Kollectiv, ZRNI, Kubo Ursiny Provisorium, Para, Malalata, O.Children, Anthony Joseph & The Spasm Band, Cathy Davey, Mixhell, Race Horses, Prazsky Vyber, Prago Union, Vec, Zlokot, and Davova Psychoza, Kouyate-Neerman, Skip & Die, and Batida on the line-up across 7 main stages.
