In Place of War the project supporting art and creativity in areas of conflict will, for the first time, be coming to Shambala the festival held at a secret location in the Northamptonshire countryside in two weeks on August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Tricky and Massive Attack guest vocalist Martina Topley-Bird will be collaborating with artists programmed by In Place of War, who support established and emerging artists all over the world from Colombia to Afghanistan, Northern Ireland to Gaza, Serbia to Sudan. The acts who will be appearing over the weekend include Egyptian singer/songwriter Ramy Essam, and Brazil's Os Nelsons, and Oquadro.

There are only a few hundred tickets left for the family friendly festival which promises four days of fun, with a large kids area, masses of workshops, woodland antics, crazy carnivals, roaming theatrics, and everyone in fancy dress. There's no separate arena from the campsite, and there's no restriction on alcohol.

Acts confirmed for this the 13th year include Alice Russell, Courtney Pine, Dr Meaker, Fatoumata Diawara, Groundation, Hollie Cook, Los De Abajo, Sam Lee & Friends, Sheelanagig, Skatalites, Skip & Die, Smerins Anti-Social Club, Adrian Sherwood, Calyx & Teebee, MC GQ, The Correspondents, Far Too Loud, Hotcakes Live feat.
