The first acts have been announced for WOMAD - World of Music, Arts and Dance - held at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, in Wiltshire.

Confirmed from around the world are Ladysmith Black Mambazo (South African), Benjamin Zephaniah & The Revolutionary Minds (UK), The No Smoking Orchestra (Serbia), Squarepusher's side-project Shobaleader One, Alsarah & the Nubatones (Sudan/USA), Bokante (USA/Guadeloupe), Bombino (Niger), Chico Trujillo (Chile), Grupo Canalon de Timbiqui (Colombia), Jamie Smith's Mabon (UK), Khmer Rouge Survivors (Cambodia), Maarja Nuut (Estonia), The Nile Project (Egypt/Ethiopia and more), Nomade Orquestra (Brazil), Rajab Suleiman & Kithara (Zanzibar), Savina Yannatou (Greece), The Spooky Men's Chorale (Australia), Tom Middleton (UK), and Zhou Family Band (China). Many more acts are still to be confirmed - expect the most eclectic line-up anywhere in the UK.

Weekend tickets - which are valid from the Friday until Sunday are priced at £175, or a four day ticket for Thursday arrivals is £210.
