Open each day from noon until aound 11pm on Saturday and until around 10pm on Sunday, this is Scotland’s National Street Arts Festival. Big in Falkirk, packs a lot into two days: spectacular outdoor theatre, international street arts, live music, comedy, children’s entertainment and more.

This is Scotland’s biggest free multi-arts festival of international outdoor theatre. Over its two-day run, Big in Falkirk attracts over 100,000 visitors to the 180-acre parkland venue on the southeast side of the city.

Music acts from past years have included The Stranglers, Tony Christie, Snow Patrol, Deacon Blue and Bob Geldof. Between performances, visitors can enjoy other stalls and attractions such as the Fairtrade Pavilion, Food and Drink Village, Kids’ Fun Tent, Secret Garden (hosting off-beat performance, left-field music, installations and sumptuous food), and a festival market.

More information about the line-up and other events is expected in the New Year.
