Broadstairs Folk Week 2008

Broadstairs Folk Week is a town based festival happening throughout various venues in Broadstairs, Kent. Now in its 44th year, it celebrates folk and roots from traditional singing to folk rock via samba, blues and Cajun music. With a full programme of over 500 events including concerts, dances, workshops, sessions, events for children, a torchlight procession, storytelling and poetry and dancing along the seafront the whole town comes alive for the week in a festival of sound and colour.

Many of these acts will be at the festival for much of the week.

Season tickets, day tickets and tickets for individual events are available. Adult season tickets are priced at £145, and a child's at £50. Day tickets are available priced at £50 for an adult, child £10, under 7s free. there are also family and resident offers available. There is a campsite which will be open for Season Ticket holders only from 10.00am on Friday 8th August and close at midday on Saturday 16 August 2008. The level campsite has Posh Wash showers and nice toilets within a short walk of all venues.

As well as the event festival goers can also enjoy 7 sandy beaches, an Italian ice cream parlour, pub sessions, singarounds, and Shooting Roots.
