C2C: Country to Country 2015
Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th March 2015The O2 Arena, Millennium Way, Greenwich, Greater London, SE10 0AX, England MAP
from £89.50 for both days
The 3rd annual two-day C2C: Country to Country brought Nashville Country superstars across the Atlantic to their celebration of country style and culture. Outside it’s a beautiful sunny day. Inside the o2 the place has been transformed into Nashvile.
As soon as you walk into the O2 you are greeted by C2C merchandise, there are several ‘pop up’ stages and that’s all before you actually reach the arena! This all adds to the rip roaring atmosphere.
Here's a round up of the first day's headlining acts:
Brandy Clark - Only one album down (12 stories) but a Grammy nomination for best new artist earned already. Her skilled story telling lyrics have earned critical acclaim and her second album is eagerly awaited.
Lee Ann Womack, - Both Grammy award and CMA award winning, her latest album is her first in several years. Her material is bleak, beautiful and honest.
Florida Georgia Line -The hottest duo in Country music. Breaking records with everything they release. The lyrics are basic and sometimes quite rude but the crowd seem receptive.
Luke Bryan - originally a songwriter and now one of the biggest ticket sellers in his own right. He has also sold over 6.4 million albums, and spawned 11 number one singles.
On Sunday the line-up featured:
Kip Moore - Effortlessly capturing those coming of age moments, his album was the best-selling debut for a male artist in both 2012 and 2013. His gravelly voice encourages emotion.
Brantley Gilbert - His sales have increased with every release. Each track is written from the heart with honesty and precision.
Jason Aldean - One of Americas most successful touring artists. He pushes country music boundaries to its absolute limits with his lyrics and style.
Lady Antebellum
- A hugely successful trio they are now on their fifth album. With their beautiful harmonies they were surprisingly inspiring.
This was my first country festival and I didn’t know what to expect. This is now the third Country 2 Country at the o2 and with tickets for next year going on pre-sale this coming Friday I suggest you snap some up. Yeeee haaaa!
