Arguably the biggest band of the late 80's and early 90s', and fronted by one of the most notorious figures in rock and roll history, the legendary Axl Rose has been the focus of all kinds of press throughout his musical career.

Axl’s line-up consists of Bumblefoot, Fincke, Fortus, Stinson, Mantia and Dizzy Reeds back on keyboards. With the hopeful release of the new album and the up and coming UK tour in mind - Guns N’ Roses return to Donington!

What starts off as little hints teasingly taken off the opening sequence to ‘Welcome To The Jungle,’ breaks into full song. To the crowd’s cheer and amazement, Axl appears onstage and the band blast straight through the song.

Followed closely up by hits including ‘It’s So Easy,’ ‘Mr. Brownstone,’ ‘Knocking On Heavens Door’ and ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ the new line-up sound as good as ever. Throughout the set, individual members of the band play instrumental solos.

The crowd begins to chant Guns N’ Roses as the band take a break due to technical difficulties. During ‘You Could Be Mine,’ Axl’s microphone cut out or something, although the rest of the band managed to step in and finish the song off.

Special guest guitarist Izzy made a couple of warmly welcomed appearances with the band, and guest singer Sebastian Bach doubled up with Axl for ‘My Michelle’.

Managing to throw in a few new songs and still cover all the big Guns N’ Roses hits, the show went down successfully. To finish off, Paradise City ends with confetti - both cannons and pyros being fired in and around the stage area to wrap up what was an amazing show. But just not as good as Metallica's set the previous night!!
