At this year's Download eFestivals spoke with four piece Alternative Rock band based in Nottingham - Adelphia shortly after their Download performance and got them to answer a few questions.
How was it playing to the Download crowd?
It was a surreal experience and it was awesome to have such a welcoming crowd, we certainly weren't expecting it. The response we got from the crowd was different from any other show we've done. There's a lot of people who were there for the love of music and we totally get that!
How would you describe your sound? (In my opinion it sounds like infectious hook driven rock)
I'd describe our sound as mature alt rock. We try to keep it as hooky as possible. There are a few hints of pop but I suppose that's down to our wide range of influences. We tend to find a certain sound or theme for a song and roll with it and see what happens.
Can we expect to see you touring the UK soon?
There' a lot up in the air in the moment and we can't wait to get out and about in the UK to play some shows. Nothing I can confirm as of yet but definitely watch this space!
Did you have chance to catch any of the other bands at Download? If so, who?
We saw quite a lot of bands during Download, a few favourites would have to be Bring Me the Horizon, Bury Tomorrow and Linkin Park, if you weren't there to see these bands then you really did miss out!
Do you have any new material due out soon?
We have a new single coming out soon called 'If I fall'. We've recently added it to our set so if you want to hear it before release make sure you catch us at a show!
Is there any particular band that you would love to be on the same bill as?
For me personally I'd love to support either Mallory Knox or Don Broco. We've bumped into them a couple of times now and they're total lads. being on the same bill as them would be mental!
Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to start a band?
Do it for the right reasons and for the love of the music and remember to practice and write whenever possible! Go in 100%
Do you ever get fed up with being asked the same interview questions by music reviewers?
Not really, its awesome to have the opportunity to speak to different reviewers to put ourselves out there. Theres always something new happening with us so even if its the same question we might have a different answer!
In your own words why should someone start to listen to your music?
We're passionate, our music will make you cry in a good way and you'll be happy about it.
Who is more important in a band out of the Drummer or the guitarist?
That's a tough one! I'd say they're both just as important as each other. A lot of people say the drummer is the backbone of the band and makes the song which I get, if you have a crap beat you wont have a good song but at the same time if the guitar isn't good, the song wont be either.
Have you ever had any spinal tap moments whilst playing live?
Thankfully nothing major as of yet other than the odd microphone swing to the face and bass guitars to the back it's so far so good!
