Well...after reading all the other reviews I couldn't resist putting some of my own thoughts down.

This was my second Glasters and though I'm not sure any year will ever surpass my first wicked experience last year (hard to top with the bands, the weather and the fact I met my boyfriend there), I still had a brilliant weekend.

Highlights for me were Travis, Nine Inch Nails, Bowie, Semisonic, Pet Shop Boys, Bloodhound Gang, Live and Counting Crows. I also thought Elastica, Toploader and Reef put on great shows - though I must say, if you REALLY find it necessary to body surf, at least do it right - feet up so you stop kicking people in the head (and you wonder why we drop you on the ground??)! I was even adventurous this year and veered away from the Pyramid (wicked new design) and Other stages to visit the Jazz Stage (Groove Armada was excellent) and Acoustic stage - Lee Griffiths was just what the doctor ordered Sunday morning. I'm also glad we arrived on Thursday morning this year as we took the time to wander around the sight - which I didn't bother to do last year. And, maybe next year I'll venture to a few more new stages and even make it to one of those brilliant sunrises at the stone circle I keep hearing so much about!

I was quite pissed off at all the people who hopped the fence. This goes against the whole spirit of the festival. Yeah, 90 pounds is a lot of money (try times 2.3% exchange!) but if you were to see half the bands individually - which you'd never get tickets for normally, you'd pay 10 times that - it is so worth it. Besides, a large portion of the money goes to charity so don't be so bloody cheap next year. I was also highly annoyed at the number of bottles I saw - are you people really that dense? Can't you rough it for one weekend and drink out of plastic or tin so we can make the ground a bit cleaner & safer?! I don't think it's too much to ask. Besides, plastic & tin weigh less than glass & you do have to lug it around, right?

How relieved were we to see that sun on Friday! The toilets were cleaner than last year - not perfect, but a definite improvement. Some of the hedges were pretty horid though, definitely worse than last year. Even the garbage situation seemed slightly better though still pretty bad by the time Saturday rolled around. We were thankful for the widening of passage ways between the Pyramid and Other stages and liked the new(?) parking up by the Other stage which made entry and exit nice & easy - no probs at 7am Monday morn!

Sorry, but I just have to say this - a big F*CK YOU to the wanker who nicked my Canadian flag in the wee hours of Monday morning. I guess I should be thankful that's all they nicked but still...

So...not perfect, but some visible improvements from last year. I have to say, Michael Eavis is a star for putting up with all he does for the few days everyone comes and trashes his place. So a big thank you. Presumably he feels as we do that despite all the shit that happens (some of it literal!) it is Glasters after all and worth every brilliant moment! See you next year :o)
