Glastonbury Festival 2000

Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th June 2000
Worthy Farm, Pilton, nr Glastonbury, Somerset, England
£89 including booking fee and postage
Daily capacity: 80,000

At the grand old age of 40, my buddies, two old Glastonbury veterans, managed to drag me along to Glasto 2000. Having lived in the area for the best part of 30 years I had heard the rumours and went along with some trepidation.

The first thing that shook me was the sheer size of the event, well I knew it was big but to see it first hand and first time is... well awe inspiring! But from the word go I felt right at home, fantastic atmosphere, no hint of danger, good organisation and so much to see and do I wished I could have split my self in half. True, the line up was not upto the standard of previous years but the real treat was Robert Plant and the priory of Brian. Tucked away in the acoustic tent was a good move for it created an electric atmosphere and I knew then that Glasto 2000 wasnt going to get any better than that!

As for next year.... I may even take the wife and kids! Thanks Mike.. it was a fantastic first time experience.
