I know Eavis has gone on record as saying he's going to do something about the fence next year. But mates of mine who've been going since the 70's believe there's a policy of letting the freeloaders over the fence, to satisfy all the retailers on site.
Problem is, people who skip in, under, or round the fence, or in some other way buckshee, aren't exactly coming prepared with sleeping bags, tents and other such neccessary gear for the weekend. It's these arseholes who then proceed in selecting whatever they need from the massive selection of poorly protected tents available to them.
If Eavis doesn't do something about security, it's gonna snowball. Deep cool, love and good vibes don't sit well with the amount of what is basically ripping people off.
How much of a good vibe would you be feeling if you knew the geezer standing on your foot whilst he's moshing to.. ( wasn't exactly a lot to mosh to this year) had bunked in compared to your £89, and was being sustained by the contents of someone's tent, if not the tent itself.
Glasto will descend into just another festival, it will loose the interest of the BBC and all the major acts if it's not seen to be peace, love and understanding.
Oi Eavis, double the wall, triple the stewards, and we'll all have a great time.
