This year the Field offers lots of great new acts and some familiar favourites. And, as ever, all activities, shows and workshops in the field are FREE.

Located at the top of the site, north of William’s Green and the Meeting Point, west of The Acoustic Stage children will find the field of castles and aliens, bubbles and clowns, swingboats and roundabouts, explosions, magicians, stuntmen, with Panic Circus, Mr Yipadee, Captain Kipper & Friends, Craig Smith's Wonky Donkey, The Flying Seagull Project , Rainbow Theatre Present Shakespeare's 'The Tempest',, Coreo Hazzard, Tucked In Productions present 'The Golden Cowpat', Rhubarb Theatre present 'Book Worms', DnA present 'Chicken Licken', Circus Fudge's Foolish Theatre, plus a host of walkabout acts, and more creating a world of wonder and magic with things to do and see, make or join in with, bounce on, jump off, climb up and fly in.

There will also be Silly Science and a VERY special guest to be announced nearer to the time.

Children must be accompanied at all times, so the parents get to share the experience which represents the original ethos of Glastonbury keeping the Utopian spirit alive, it believes in the magic of sharing and play in an environment filled with honest values and meaningful engagement.

The Field believes in quality entertainment for kidz, it doesn’t endorse products, sell tie-ins or put on empty shows with bright colours and no nutritional value. It doesn’t do flyers or adverts or stalls or partake in “pester power”, it is happy to be different. Indeed, it celebrates difference and diversity and wholeheartedly endorses the UN Convention on the Rights Of The Child: It is a right of the child to rest, leisure and play, to enjoy recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the Arts.

All activities, shows and workshops in the Kidz Field are FREE! The Glastonbury Festival was founded on, and is committed to, progressive attitudes and inspiring new generations. Children have always been given free admission to Glastonbury and The Kidz Field team are the guardians of their domain and facilitators of the largest and finest free festival for kidz in Europe.

In the field you’ll find face painters, clowns, magicians, storytellers, acrobats and play rangers, the iconic Vintage Helter Skelter, The Kidz Field Castle, The Re:Play Muzikademy, Friction Arts, the Legendary Make ‘n’ Do Marquee, The National Childbirth Trust Little Kidz Area, The Woodcraft Folk, The Climbing Wall and Spider Mountain as well as many more Rides, Outdoor Games, Attractions and Walkabouts.

They have nappies, wellies and wipes (Bio-degradable of course) and are on hand to give advice, support and a friendly face.

It's definitely worth dropping in for a cup of tea, as thousands of other parents have discovered over the last 21 years, it's a chance to relax with your little 'uns, and enjoy the Festival away from the main stages.

The Kidz Field also has a Lost Children and a First-Aid post manned by a large group of highly trained professionals. There's CCTV system to ensure safety and Strawberry Fair stewards are always on hand to ensure that you and yours have a happy childhood at Glastonbury.
