Van Morrison

Van Morrison came on stage to a big crowd on Sunday evening. This is what people had been looking forward to all day: a lazy evening in the sunshine listening to Van the Man. As the crowds had swelled so much on Sunday though, the peaceful setting desired by many had been broken. People poured in to the main stage area, sending picnic baskets flying and blankets array. The air was buzzing with anticipation and excitement - something not witnessed elsewhere at this years festival.

Van Morrison

Van Morrison gave his typically great, relaxed performance - wowing the crowd with his bluesy sound and mellow tunes. People danced as the momentum of the big band increased and cheered to well remembered tunes such as 'Brown Eyed Girl', 'Stoned' and 'Back on Top Again' which opened the act. The performance of Van and his band was excellent as always. He was accompanied by a full band including an excellent brass section. They played with style, approaching each new tune with some fervour, taking the crowd with them.

Van Morrison

This was a great way to finish a great festival. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed seeing the skilled Van Morrison play and everyone left in a relaxed happy mood, sated by some superb music on the final day.
