Steve Gribbin
Steve Gribbin
Hugely popular comedy songs with no subject or target considered safe from his biting wit. Warning: might upset the Royalists amongst you.
"a scabrous satirical comedy songsmith, firing from the hip and keeping you on the hop. He is like a gleeful comedy imp, always buzzzing with the sheer exhileration of being onstage!" The Guardian

Jovanka Steele
Blond, attractive and American - she has a lot of comedy hurdles to get over but her easy and approachable style gets cynical Brits on her side.
"The show has punch and pizzazz; she has charm and charisma - go see" **** Scotsman
"What a breath of fresh air ... searing dissections of national quirks .. a natural comic who deserves to go far **** Metro
Keith Donnerly @ Guilfest 2003

Keith Donnelly
Lively, rip-roaring stuff from this Guildford Festival stalwart. Not a traditional stand-up but this man is overflowing with gags and charisma. Tons of Fun.

Adam Montgomery (mc)
Confident, sharp and witty with a strong stage presence and plenty of topical material, he is a talented compere and highly amusing comic. "Comedy’s not as easy as it looks, is it?" he remarked to one befuddled heckler. It isn’t, but he makes it look a breeze.

Howard Read
Award winning stand-up comic Howard Read has a relaxed, easy stage manner and an off-the-wall surreal view of life. He looks at life differently to us with some great ideas for practical jokes, a few seminal and cerebral one-liners and some show-stopping musical numbers about semi-exotic vegetables.
"Read is witty, hysterical and a brilliant performer" The Stage
"incredibly funny .... reduces the audience to hysterical tears" Edinburgh Evening News
"the funniest thing I’ve seen for years. I practically fell off my chair laughing." Time Out

Nick Wilty
"Just three adjectives to describe Wilty - brilliant, brilliant and brilliant." - Chortle
Nick is known as the "Globetrotting Comedian" for good reason. He has performed on every continent except Antarctica and at all the major comedy Festivals in the world.
"Wilty is cack funny, his routine is a fluffy kitten that bites like a lion" - BEAT, MELBOURNE

Keith Fields
Combines his incredible talent for magic with the natural charm of his stand-up comedy and can instantly win over any audience.
"A true entertainer" - CHORTLE
Jenny Sanderson
"Fields brings gales of laughter (4 stars)" - EDINBURGH EVENING NEWS

Jenny Sanderson (mc)
A stylish and visually stunning compere, Jenny combines elegance with eccentricity. With a flair for the absurd and a no nonsense approach she charms the audience with her improvised dance routines and comic nonsense.
"Gracefully and amusingly compered" - Theatre Wales

Saturday
Mitch Benn
Returning to Guilfest, to headline the Saturday night.

Danny Buckler
A unique comedy performer who combines improvisation, story-telling, audience participation and the odd bit of magic. Supported Victoria Wood on her national tour and soon to be seen co-fronting the BBC 1 prime-time Saturday night special, 'Secrets of Magic'.

Adrian Poynton
"One of Britain's most promising new comics" - The Daily Telegraph
SCOTSMAN FRINGE FIRST AWARD WINNER - Edinburgh Festival 2003

Karl Spain
Jack Cowley
A wonderful mix of the physical and the cerebral, the profane and the profound, Jack is a pacing, lively comedian who blends stand up with audience participation and physical theatre into a superb comic performance.
"A great gift for the visually absurd" - The Stage

Karl Spain
Karl Spain is from Limerick. He is 31, Libran, and single, and would like to meet a nice audience for evenings of fun and frolics. This frisky young Irishman will be appearing at Guildfest as part of a series of UK shows before he travels to Edinburgh to appear at The Festival.

Hils Barker
Exciting and thought-provoking stand-up, Barker combines satirical comment with an original and silly streak.
"Hilarious... star of the night" - The Edinburgh Guide

Alexis Dubus
"Puppy-eyed and floppy-haired, with relaxed patter, stage charisma and a kind of winningly tangible eagerness to please, you not only giggle but kind of wanna be in his gang. A good line in effervescent banter and one-liners, an intelligent and well-delivered set." - Paramount Comedy

John Ryan (mc)
An East-end lad blessed with Irish charm and known for his mind-blowing ability to be able to make something funny out of anything that comes his way. Edinburgh Highlight award winner 2003
"Upbeat, interesting and unique" - Carlton TV London
"Genius 5*****" - Daily Telegraph 2003

Sunday
Pierre Hollins
Pierre Hollins
Described as ‘far fetched and semi dangerous’, this latest incarnation finds the inimitable funster armed with a one-string electric squash raquet and an eclective mixture of fine stand-up and songs.
"An unsung hero of comedy. Don't miss this true professional at work. Bloody funny." - Time Out
"Should be made the Mayor of a small village." - Shanghai City Weekend
"Comedy rock and roll heaven" - Hot Tickets

Sean Percival
"Sean's comedy is the comedy of honesty. His act is the working man's revenge on the safe, middle-class, politically correct humour that has dominated comedy. Sean's humour is not surreal, it's not wacky, it's just bloody funny. This is not smile humour, this is bust your gut rubber underpants stuff" - What's On

Martin Davis
He skids and bounces across the stage, strung up and tugged around by unknown forces, firing off a relentless rapid-fire assault that hits every corner of the room and kills 100% of all known hecklers stone dead. Going where mere joke-tellers fear to tread, ("Go on, heckle me!") he walks the razor edge of audience participation, daring them to pick him off it.
Chambers & Nettleton

Chambers & Nettleton (mc)
The only female double act on the live comedy circuit - these 2 are absolutely bounding with energy and quickfire gags. Superb fun.
"Divine and very funny" - Time Out

John Moloney
"A wondrous array of classy gags … droll one-liners; coruscating bits of political satire, absurdist observations; gleeful schoolboy puns and observant re-interpretations of everyday phenomena. In addition, they’re all delivered with a measured dryness and quiet understatement, too. Masterly." - THE HERALD.
"A powerfully funny act." - TIME OUT

George Egg
With the worlds second largest briefcase, and a battery of props, George Egg provides one of the most unusual comedy performances you are ever likely to see. Not for the squeamish.

Patrick Monahan
"Monahan's tightrope walk between laughter and embarrassment, singles him out as a Star-In-the-making" - Daily Telegraph
"He has all the charm of Ed Byrne, the energy of Adam Bloom and wild leaps of imagination that are resonant of Ross Noble" - The List

Windsor (mc)
Having performed all over the world, Windsor is loved for his charm and warmth, his stories, observations and one-liners.
"A master of putdown, Windsor delivers hot material with a rare skill" - The Stage
